First off, I just want to say that I LOVE my readers. Not just because they’re Papierdoll readers, but for the mere fact that they possess a patience (they would have to with this blog) that is top rate. I mean, I try my hardest to blog regularly, but with being on the road and not having a computer I can travel with I’m pretty limited in my time when I can log in my entries. So I THANK YOU from the top and bottom of my heart. I also want to let Sam (Mr. Financials as I like to call him) to know that I do appreciate his patience too.

Now on to the juicy stuff. I’m back….finally! I know you are all probably wondering what in the world have I been doing since my last blog, but it is just the same story check in hotel, do show, check out hotel, with the occassional “Rock Star” partying antics. A few days ago I was in Washington D.C. for our Kennedy Center show, which I must say was pretty good. However, that’s not the “meat and potatoes” of the D.C. trip, I also partied. We went to the club hot spot H2O. This club was off the hook, but I guess any club can be off the hook when you are VIP all night. I drank and was merry and even danced to the occassional reggae tune. I met a couple of guys which was cool, but one that stood out reminded me of my “CRUSH” that I had mentioned in my last blog. This guy was the epitomy of sex, and trust me if my roommate wasn’t a bit tipsy that night…sex is what this guy and I would have been having. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t condone casual sex (at least not all the time), but being on the road does take a toll on you.

Speaking of my crush, which I will refer to as “Mr. Confused” and his lady love as “Ms. Delus Pimp”, has really gone mad by becoming the puppy dog to “Ms. Delus Pimp”. It is truly sad coming from someone who claims that he is such a ladies man. I mean if you could see what he looks like, what she looks like, and how he acts, you would have never pieced that puzzle together in a million years. She’s not bad looking, as a matter of fact she is actually pretty, however she is soooooooooo not his type by first glance (and I am not just saying that because I have a mini crush on him), opposites do attract. Coversations that I have had with the other witnesses have agreed with me as to him either being completely brainwashed or actually falling in love…. on tour! Who does that? Obviously Mr. Confused does. And to add insult to injury, but he doesn’t know it, she heavily FLIRTS, not flirt, with another guy directly in front of his face. Therefore, Mr. Confused has also been bit by the stupid bug. Hopefully he’ll come around, just like his counterpart “Mr. On 10 All The Time”.

Mr. On 10 All The Time, did a straight Brad Pitt on another participate of this traveling reality show… “Ms. Didn’t See It Coming”. I actually feel sorry for her in a “having compassion” sort of way, however because of my cynicism and pessimism I can’t feel sorry for long. The chick fell in love on tour of all places. That’s like me being on a Usher tour and being depressed because Usher doesn’t wish to commit. What the…..? To make matters worse his “Angelina Jolie” is her seat mate on the tour bus. Drama, drama, drama.

Well kiddies, now its time to say good bye to all my blog reading friends. Next blog, should be real good. We just received a new addition to the cast and everyone is freaking out thinking she is a replacement. I wonder how this will all pan out. Stay tuned……

Papierdoll July 2008 Interview

Interview: Thomas Voorn
Sonia Pereira Murphy

Considering the now ubiquitous trend of disposable fashion where all that seems to matter is a cute factor, Thomas Voorn's intellectual take on clothing is not only refreshing, but enlightening. Voorn's fascination with clothing calls to mind an anthropologist intrigued with skeletal remains, a sociologist... [Go]
