British designer Jenny Packham decided it was time to mix it up with the Italians in Milan. You either fall in love with her dresses or check your pulse. For fall, Packham decided that glamour was the way to go. Dress after dress in every single photo shows a mastery of design. There was an empire-line dress that was a highlight specifically in photos. It was made of black silk and swept straight to the floor adorned with a jewelled band. With the exception of one or two dresses that were slim fitting and some pants suits, most of the dresses were flowing pieces that looked as if they were made for royalty. Definitely a change of pace for what’s coming out of Milan.

I own a travel agency and thought it would be great fun to go to Milan for Fashion Week September 2006.
In my initial stages of research I have found that this event is by invitation only.
I have little knowledge of fashion, except if I see something I like - and it doesn’t have to be a famous designer, that is what is most important.
Can you give me any thoughts or ideas regarding my proposed ideas of putting together a group to Milan?
What i envisioned was attending a runway event or two, followed by touring a couple of designer houses, then going to a fabric factory, shopping at the outlets and possibly going to a tailor for custom made clothes.
Of course, this would all be intertwined with La Scala and a visit to the Last Supper.
Please Help!! I think this could be an awesome trip!
regards,
Joyce
