    Under the Silver Moon…

    silver moon logo

The style wolves always come out at the Silver Moon vintage boutique. Liz Meyer, wardrobe stylist to Aerosmith, has hit the nail on the head with her keen and discerning eye for vintage taste in clothing and beyond.

Silver Moon features women’s vintage collected pieces (early 1800s to 1960s formal and daywear, accessories, plus designer pieces and a bridal collection); men’s vintage (casual, formal, and hats); a vivienne westwood collection to drool over…literally; and house wares.

    Robin Givhan Wins Pulitzer

In a great moment for fashion writers, Robin Givhan, a fashion critic for the Washington Post, is the first ever fashion writer to win the Pulitzer for the category of “distinguished criticism, in print or in print and online.” According to the Daily, she has purchased a navy Martin Grant dress for the ceremony, and based on his spring collection, our best guess is that she chose this one:

While that seems like an appropriate choice for such an occasion−sophisticated, elegant and yet serious−if I ever win a Pulitzer (for fashion or other writing), I’d go over-the-top with something like this dress from Nicole Miller:

I’d want my dress to say, “I’m not only fabulous on the written page, I’m also fabulous at life.”

Congratulations, Robin. Keep those stodgy politicians with their less-than-fashion-forward-thinking in check.

    So True…so very true

“I feel like Anna Wintour goes through a rotation of about five different people for the cover of US Vogue. Keira Knightley was just on the cover last December”

    From Fashionologie.com

    I couldn’t agree more.

Style Prophet: Canadian Designer Leads Fashion's Future
    Stephanie Nolasco

At the age of fourteen, Lacy Barry was given a religious premonition of her future with fashion. The word "ephoe," a plural form of the eight ritual garments worn by Jewish high priests, appeared in her dream. Barry, age 24, is the founder of Ephoe Inc., a label whose influences come from lush tropical colors, Audrey Hepburn and Victorian couture... [Go]
