If you’re getting out early from work today for the looooonnnggg holiday weekend, we have four quick ideas for our first edition of the weekend planner.

Must Read: Halston An American Original

On your way to the Hamptons or braving the 405 this weekend will make it necessary for you to bring a good read. Lisa Radon recommends this excellent fashion read.
Must Buy: N.V. Perricone M.D. Solar Protection for Face with DMAE SPF 26 1.7 oz
Being on the beach means needing that skin protection. While this is a little pricey, you will have an even and **almost** unburnable tan. Available at Sephora.

The story we’re running away from
I won’t repost the photos as we don’t have permission from Harper’s (and I doubt anyone has permission outside of AP).
Rest assured, from what we’ve seen online, the media’s infatuation with all things trashy has hit a crescendo.

As we countdown to the release of the Devil Wears Prada movie, I can’t help but look at some of the tie-ins happening with the movie. Today’s tie-in comes in the form of Sephora’s look at the beauty work done for the movie. Speaking of the work done on the movie by renowned makeup artist Nicki Lederman, the Sephora site states: “… Ledermann subtly progressed the makeup from low-maintenance college girl to over the top fashionista.” Read more here.
