    Believable realness, perfect concealness

    Benefit

As the temperature and humidity go up, the amount of makeup I wear goes proportionately down.

Some tinted moisturizer, mascara, blush and lipgloss are about all I can handle. So I’m in favor of anything that can perfect and polish my mimimum makeup look. So I was excited to try Benefit’s Realness of Concealness kit.

I’ve always been a big fan of their High Beam highlighter, and the little vial that came with this kit is probably what convinced me to go for it. I know I’ve lived off a free-sample-with-purchase pot for months. So this mini-lipgloss-like applicator should last even longer and leave me feeling less like a cheap-skate.

The High Beam, Ooh-la-lift and Lip Plump come in these tube-and-want containers for easy, precision application. They’re small enough for easy portability in any clutch. I really like them.

Between the Ooh-la-lift, lemon-aid lid corrector and boi-ing undereye concealer, you can look awake and rested even if the heat kept you up all night (in a good or bad way).

My only wish for this little kit - that it had some Benetint. Then it would really fulfill all my needs for attempting a fresh faced look.

As always, the Benefit packaging also tickles me pink. I love their cute palettes and kits. So, A+ for the big B. (The enefit is implied.)

    Who’s on the cover?

    Adrian Grenier

Many women have asked who is on the cover of Papierdoll’s mens issue? Well, we can let the cat out of the bag. Adrian Grenier star of HBO’s highly acclaimed comedy series Entourage graces this month’s cover of Papierdoll. Photographer Berman Fenelus did the shoot for us awhile back and had no place to put the photos since we are a women’s fashion mag. This month’s mens issue gave us all the reason in the world to put him on the cover.

When Grenier is not in Brooklyn enjoying the scenery (the place where he now calls home), he’s in LA playing the role of Vince Chase on the series. He’s also set to be in the new James Cameron produced Aquaman series (or so Entourage says) debuting on the CW network this fall. Congratulations to Adrian and also last month’s cover model Leah Rennee who’s show is also debuting on the CW network this fall.

What designer pieces can you get for $250? Not many.

    charm

One Canada.com writer set off with the mission of visiting some of the most famous high-end designer boutiques with a hypothetical budget of $250, to see what it would buy her.

The Chanel cell phone charm, above, is a good indicator of the type of trinkets she found.

An interesting read for all us window shoppers! Check it out:

Luxury on a budget: What can you buy from high-end stores for a mere $250?
