The cure for Dragon Feet

Michelle’s Dragon Feet post got me to thinking (and you know how dangerous that can be), there are simple cures for Dragon Feet. Here I provide two:

DuWop Mani Pedi Tote

A simple tote that has all the amenities including three nail polishes, flip-flops and the bag which has separate compartments for your keys. So you don’t mess with the polish on your hands. Truly ingenious. It’s available at Beauty.com for $38

Tweezerman HIS Deluxe Grooming Kit

You may also need a grooming kit. The tweezer man kit comes complete with everything you need to cure the dragon feet blues and you can also have the tools sharpened for free when they go dull.

See the trick is, if you have little time to go to the nail salon (or are tired because you think they are talking about you in another language when you do go, -yes, I went there-), then take care of it at home. The two products above are a quick and easy start to curing those feet.

Project Runway WEEK 3

Project Runway Project Runway

Although I missed episode 2 of this season’s Project Runway, I made the extra effort to be home tonight. I have to say this cast does not jazz me like the previous two, but I guess it works in some way. This week’s challenge included what seems to be favorite accessories here in New York City: a tiny, expensive, overly cute dog. The guest judges with Nina and Heidi were Vera Wang and Ivanka Trump. The end result? Uli’s very Madison Aveish design was the winner- her models matched perfectly. Sadly Katherine went with her very plain unfinished dress even though her pup’s hoodie rocked. I suppose Keith is the difficult type for the season, his arrogance goes great with his designs, which are usually perfect (so far). My favorites this season as of now are Keith and Michael.

Dragon Feet

Okay, I understand that it is summer and with that comes sandals, flops, and other footwear that shows far too much foot. I also realize, being a woman, the price of a good pedi can be upwards of $40 plus (in the city). All this aside, there is no reason that I have to stare at these horrible feet–lotion will at least mask the ash on the heels and toes if you insist on showing them off. And the toenails!!! I feel that it is so unsanitary to have super long toenails-they’re toes, not fingers!!!! Come on ladies, there are plenty of remedies to gross feet even without a pedicure: gross metalic and white polish not an option. A little lotion, a nail clipper, socks would work…….

50 scent

Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren truly understands how to create a mood. Whether is be with his fashions, bedsheets or perfume. Yes, I have the striped RL bedsheets, leave me alone. Anyway, Collette.fr is selling his new Pink Pony candles and the black ones are my favorite. The black candles consist of Pink Lily of the Valley, Pink Magnolia, Sweet Peas, Pink Chinese Peony, Stephanotis and White Roses. The white consists of Lily of the Valley, Green Muguet, Jasmine and Ylang Ylang. What’s a Ylang Ylang?

Get them here for 60 euros which translates to…$75…for candles..

Papierdoll July 2008 Interview

Interview: Thomas Voorn
Sonia Pereira Murphy

Considering the now ubiquitous trend of disposable fashion where all that seems to matter is a cute factor, Thomas Voorn's intellectual take on clothing is not only refreshing, but enlightening. Voorn's fascination with clothing calls to mind an anthropologist intrigued with skeletal remains, a sociologist... [Go]
