Archive for August, 2006

Remember how I stated that Papierblog will be covering designers we think matter this fashion week? Well here’s one for you. After last spring’s showing at fashion week, I am looking VERY forward in seeing Spring 2007 from the perspective of Y&Kei.
Expect more of these musings from myself, Michelle, Ali and Brandy in the coming days as we lead up to fashion week in New York.

And the church says,

Amen. How about I agree with F.A.D. on these scrumptious MJ shoes. They look somewhat painful though.

This is getting ridiculous

By noon yesterday, every news outlet, blogger and their second cousin was talking (or snarking) about this Katie Couric thing. I woke up this morning and thought, wouldn’t it be cool if I put an itemized listing of every blog that mentioned the whole Katie Couric photoshop thing (starting with this one)? Then I got lazy and went back to bed.

Be your Own Dictator, One Simple Step

We at Papier love our military inspired pieces. I believe the reason is that it feeds our little Napoloen complexes (especially Eva, smoochies sweetie). Needing a coat that made me feel like when I sing Der Kommisar, my mission ahead was cut out for me. Marc Jacob Spring /Summer 2006 collection (still applicable for the upcoming season) yielded such a coat. This Jacob is still available through ebay, act fast because I do believe the troops are hip to it. If that befails you, find the coat, shirt or skirt that inspires you to take over the world….or at least ask for a raise. As for my musical taste…don’t be so judgey (that is a word isn’t it?).
(editor’s note: Writer Lau, states in the comments section that this is actually L.A.M.B. from Fall 2005 collection)
