Ladies and gentleman, Alexandre Herchovitch very well may be planning to assassinate the prime minister of Malaysia. At least, that is what his seemingly “derelicteâ€-inspired fall collection indicated. Perhaps Zoolander served as the inspiration of Herchcovitch’s own parodical statement about fashion’s obsession with voluminous forms: several tops, dresses and coats he sent down the runway were intentionally plasticized to look like garbage bags. While this tongue-and-cheek humor may have distracted from several prints and coats that made bold statements without the obvious satire, it wouldn’t be a Herchcovitch show otherwise.
