Metallic singlets adorned the first several pieces—jackets and vests—of Sass & Bide’s 2007 fall collection, setting the tone of relaxed glam. Although their “lovehawk season†line featured metallic sequins, embroidery and beading, it did so in the effortless Sass & Bide manner that pulled off all these elements without trying too hard (or even at all) to do so. While minidresses, high-waisted pants and fitted vests cannot be worn easily by anyone, Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke made it seem so.
