Somebody has an obsession with ‘lil girl’ shorts this season. The realistic side of me can’t help but laugh in wondering what Amy Molyneaux and Percy Parker were thinking when they decided to create a collection incorporating ‘short shorts’ in a autumn/winter showing. Uh? However, the style connoisseur in me completely understood and applauded their bold and challenging concept. PPQ, the multi-tasked duo, whose little smock dresses has become somewhat of a cult classic with arbiters of style…everywhere, has done it again.

Colors rock and rolled the runway in black, electric blue, grey, gold, and pewter, with prints ranging from an understated plaid to Prince’s paisley. This collection gave the audience ensembles that ranged from the expected skinny pants to cleverly crafted dresses that could easily play a dual role in all seasons.

Standouts: Electric blue ‘Mac’ coat; tan paisley, puff sleeve mini dress; high waisted short shorts in grey with front pockets, paired with metallic tank and tweed-like short jacket and hot pink platforms, pewter color party mini dress; mustard yellow, silk, short jumpsuit, with purple handbag and black patent leather platforms; and the collection of just simple black dresses…you take your pick. Oh and the mittens with fur around the wrists (colors: black, electric blue, and fuchsia), can’t forget those.

Keep in the closet: The complete menswear. Not a fan. Not a fan at all.
