In deep doo doo

One has to wonder what exactly is going on in the fashion world. All of a sudden there’s an assortment of criminals, low-lives and degenerates roaming the runways. Is the vile underbelly of the industry finally being exposed? Am I being too dramatic? Don’t believe me? Tired of these random questions? Check this list out:

Anand Alexander
Anand Jon Alexander: Designer who was recently charged with forcible rape, lewd acts on a child and other felony counts. Alexander has dressed Paris Hilton (no surprise here) Michelle Rodriguez and Mary J. Blige.

Naomi Campbell: Where to really begin? She been accused multiple times of beating the help. Her most recent run-in with the law includes beating her maid with her diamond encrusted cell phone. She’s currently doing a stint this week at the Sanitation department’s community service facilities. (As an aside, how must you feel if you are a sanitation worker who’s regular 9 to 5 is the same job that Naomi Campbell and others are given as punishment?)

Kate Moss
Kate Moss: Where to begin part 2? Notorious for being on all types of illegal substances, was caught doing lines in a studio on camera. The comeback kid though has turned it around with covers on W and a first time ever interview with British Vogue. Sometimes besides being a model, crime does pay.

Peter Braunstein: Who? Forrmer WWD writer Peter Braunstein that’s who. Charged with posing as a fireman (it was Halloween), setting off an alarm then raping someone in her apartment, Braunstein led police officers on a chase across several states when he was finally nabbed on a college campus. The now dubbed “Halloween rapist” is serving hard time for his misdeeds.

I’m sure there’s more…
