Ode to Valentino

There’s this endless stream of photos that tells me that those attending the Valentino show sat there for a loonnng time. And why not? There’s nothing like seeing one of his shows in the flesh (or so I am told). This season was all about the 40s and it was apparent primarily in hairstyles, makeup and the dresses. Three quarter length coats, leopard print dresses, beautifully detailed leather and satin all adorned the models who seemed ever so relevant to the throwback 40s. If the photos are indicative of the sleek beauty of his pieces then seeing these pieces in person must have been a real treat.

Necessary wardrobe items: Three quarter leather coat (style.com), Satin piece, this piece (which you can hear the knockoff seasmstresses already putting together), something in Valentino red perhaps?
