We are robots.

Anya Hindmarch...not

We are robots. We are drones. We are all the things we say we are not. That might sound like the beginning of bad poetry but I can think of something way worse. How about the fact that every blogger and their third cousin (twice removed) seems content to drone on about the Anya Hindmarch I am not a plastic bag, bag? “Oh it’s so fabulous, Oh it’s so dreamy. It’s so kitsch, wah…wah..yadda…yadda…blah…blah.” Eff off.

I’m way more content with anyone willing to wear the I’m Not a Smug Twat bag, I hope Marissa Vanderzee is taking orders for this one.

Thursday Evening Update (10:19pm EST): Annnddd… yes she is. Order your “I’m Not a Smug Twat” bag right over here.

Thank god someone else is feeling the same way. It is not the second coming, I promise.

Love the blog. I read it every day.

Ha ha, I totally agree. I purposefully didn’t talk at all about that bag for the exact reason you mentioned. Thanks for saying what we were all thinking.

I’m desperately looking for this Anya Hindmarch “I’m Not A Plastic Bag” bag i’m in love with. I live in Barbados, Caribbean and it is not available here. Can you please tell me where I can buy it? Please don’t tell me eBay. My arm is lonely without this bag.

Bored of the Anya debate but still hate ugly plastic bags? Why not start a new trend (and an ethical one at that) and check out the new Bags of Change shopping bag. It’s funky, fresh and made from organic hemp-cotton!

Those bags aren’t even made of organic nor recycled products, and they’re shipped from overseas. Talk about hypocrisy. It’s okay to instill awareness through trends if that gets people motivated to protect the environment, but back it up with a product that’s actually legit.

    Lame.
