Of course it is making a return. If fashion is cyclical then somehow someway this would just be logical. Wrapping up our intial coverage of fall trends is the return of the Babushka. If you ask the women at Brighton Beach, it never left. Vera Wang is generally credited with lighting the flame for this head wear but many designers showed their affection for this almost forgotten accessory. One in particular was Bora Aksu at London fashion week this past Spring (for the Fall season, see above photo). The women in New York will be clamoring for their very own Babushkas and I say why not. Some of the standouts in terms of this head wear include the aforementioned Wang and Bora Aksu, Marc Jacobs and Blumarine. The knockoffs will come a-plenty, but I advise that you get from one of these designers. The genuine article can not be beat.
