While Michael Vollbracht might be gone from the Bill Blass house, his fingerprints are all over the company’s fall collection and with good reason, he designed it. The resurgent fashion house owes a lot of its success to his forward thinking. Will it be able to carry on without him? Only the Spring collection showing at New York fashion week this September will be able to tell. Until that time we leave you with Ali Manning’s photography of his Fall show. I’m Raf Simons, Bitch

Rick James reference aside, Simons is truly head and shoulders above many a male designer. Checkout his recent Fall/Winter collection. The designer du jour at Jil Sander just updated his website and I went over there today. It’s like beautiful male heaven. Then we take a look at his recent women’s super business chic fall 2007 collection and it’s obvious there’s genius oozing everywhere from Simons. His new site is here.
