I somehow felt as if I were watching a bootlegged version of a movie, in this instance it was a runway show. Showstudio’s Penny Martin went all James Bond and literally video cellphone recorded portions of the Stella McCartney show. Take a look at the photo below, it’s grainy, a bit out of focus but so much fun. It’s kind of naughty.
Somehow designers in Paris have rediscovered florals. In New York it was color block, in Paris it is everything floral (more on that later today. Martin’s assessment of McCartney’s collection?
So ‘on trend’ she must have been pinching herself, Stella opened with vivid floral prints on light silk -tiered dresses, jumpsuits and romper suits- all before a ’soil-free, vertical garden’ created by esteemed French botanist Patrick Blanc.
