Anne Hathaway of Devil Wears Prada fame was recently quoted at Dolce & Gabbana’s New York party by Style.com as saying she was wearing nerd glam. Now we’re completely aware that nerd glam and geek chic is totally in, much to the dismay of the cool high school kids that give wedgies; but what exactly is nerd glam? We looked at our back catalog of street fashion photos and found a couple of subjects that qualify in the nerd glam category. We also looked at runway photos from fashion week and realized Heatherette’s New York show was filled with nerd glam. That’s not saying much though as Heatherette’s New York shows are usually filled with everything.

Since Anne Hathaway brought the subject up though we looked at several pictures featuring the actress to find out if she was truly part of the nerd glam generation or if she was a nerd wannabe take a look:

Is geek chic/nerd glam in? Hell yes. It continues to be and we anticipate some form of it showing up on runways come February for the Fall shows.
