Loubous Pour Vous

Papierdoll Recommends:

Christian Louboutin

While Eva and Meryl this week were off recommending designers for the Spring, I decided to go in the other direction simply because no one designer has got my heart this season. I’m still on the fence about Chloe, but I liked the direction this season. What I do love is the smattering of shoes from Louboutin’s Spring collection. Seeing as how he has an exhibit going on at FIT it seemed the right thing to do to highlight the one and only pair I have from his collection. It’s comfortable, chic and has a front zipper that really makes the shoe. Never did I think that I could swoon over the length of a paragraph for a pair of shoes, but I did just that. I’m pretty happy about the purchase, no buyer’s remorse here. So my recommendation for Spring? Anything airy, but I would avoid the criss-cross straps, for some reason the look seems dated. Dated, not classic, see below as an example:

Christian Louboutin
Though some may disagree, the zippers don’t help.
