Jil Sander’s take on the heel has turned to the surreal. A simple perusal of the Spring 08 collection will direct eyes to this delightful contraption. Part heel, part superweapon, the genius of the strap is the intertwining and interlocking function within the heel itself. Great gads of genius, the designer(s) have managed to confound and amaze all at once. If that’s too daring, feast your eyes on the sandal that conjures up memories of Spartacus:
