Tommy + Music = The Dark Ages

Remember when everyone wanted to wear something Tommy Hilfiger then a couple of years later when no one wanted to wear something Tommy. Fast forward and although there’s still a bit of stigma behind the brand (something that he sought to change during fashion week). Most attribute it to his visit into the world of hip-hop where you’re in one day and the next day (to quote Heidi Klum), you’re out. The hip-hopers were quick to drop Tommy…now he’s back into music with Tommytv, but this time he promises he’s not hip-hop… he swears…seriously. This time he’s all about finding the next big artist. Memo to Tommy, there’s a show on TV that does the exact same thing, it’s called American Idol, but you can use the term “artist” loosely in this case.

Instead of focusing on going the music route here’s a small recommendation to Tommy. Create gorgeous dresses. (see below)

Create a collection that everyone will aspire to have and a handful will have the wherewithall to actually buy. Then once that is perfected, go the TommyTv route, we don’t want a return to the Tommy-less dark ages. Whaddayasay?
