Liz and DVF on the Seventh Ave Walk of Fame

Oh you didn’t know? Yes, when you’re in New York if you go down the garment district (aka fashion ave) and you look down you will see a fashion avenue walk of fame featuring luminaries you know, and some you may not. Liz Claiborne will be posthumously added to the Walk and Diane von Furstenberg gets a star as well. Both of these names were long in coming but they’ve arrived on seventh ave with great fanfare. In addition, the plaque will feature one of their designs next to their name. If you’re in New York, this is definitely worth a checkout.

Restyled D-Bag Tote

“God, Tod’s is the shit” that’s what was overheard recently when shopping in NYC and the reason being was this Restyled D-Bag Tote. On closer inspection the sentiment was dead on. The bag is not the gaudy monstrosity you see bing perpetrated by fashion designers. It’s not about causing permanent back damage and bending vertebrae, it’s about simply looking beautiful in a finely topstitched leather bag. There’s a reason why Gwyneth is starring in Tod’s commercials.
You’re fooling yourself if you get any other color but the green. Zoom on it here.
