Keep Them on at the Wedding

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 | trendspotting | No Comments

Mary Norton

You’ve been at the weddings where you take off your heels and start getting the dancing going. It’s not because you can’t dance with shoes on, it’s because by hour 2 the heels start getting way beyond uncomfortable. Mary Norton, according to Stylephile, has come up with the answer to this: extra padding. Why no one has though about this interesting idea is beyond most, but Norton has come up with it and they need to patent the idea. The shoes are supposed to be some of the most comfortable heels you will ever wear. Heck, why not wear the shoes after the wedding, one time wearing makes no sense anyway. Visit the Mary Norton site here.

Patricia Fields

Just when you thought your fill of Sex and the City news ended (please baby jesus make it stop), more news comes. This one is rather depressing. Patricia Fields is designing an exclusive line for Marks & Spencer in the UK. It’s coming out this fall and guess what? Folks here in America won’t see it, someone needs to start a petition online to bring Marks & Spencer to our side of the ocean. Post haste.

…and the City

Sex and the CIty

Although this is an international item and to be sure iPapier would have covered this, there’s no mistaking how deliciously fun, cute and censored this news item is. Two towns in Israel are refusing to have Sex and the City advertisements placed on billboards anywhere in the vicinity of the city limits. It can still play as-is in the theaters, but the movie we have come to know and abhor through the constant promotion all over the place (secretly some people are hoping the Chronicles of Narnia or some other movie makes this the number 2 movie the weekend of release) will simply be known as “…and the City”.

So get your movie tickets now for “…and the City.”

Happy Cheery Sandals

Kate Spade

This comes via The Manolo. The anonymous, mysterious man of intrigue and mystique recommends these sandals from Kate Spade and we can do nothing but nod in approval. It’s cheery with the quasi-neon colors and light because there’s not much sandal… to these.. sandals. Kate Spade, for the win.

Sexy Barack

Someone please elect this sexy stylish man President. Flag lapel pin and all. There’s a thought that besides the obvious first, he’d possible be the most stylish president evarrr. Andrew Jackson, eat your heart out.
