My editor sent me photos of these sunglasses to which I replied, “I get sunglasses e-mails every other day, what’s so special about these?”
Apparently there is something special behind these sunglasses. The makers, Dragon, profess that not only will these sunglasses block out the sun, but they offer 100% UV protection. This is a tall claim considering that in the past companies/designers in this vein would do one of two things. Either they would create sunglasses that were functional but left a whole lot to be desired in terms of style, or the product would be uber stylish but couldn’t protect your eyes against a 25 watt lightbulb.
Dragon’s sunglasses do a bit of both and seems to do it well. Personally, the zebra frames, fall into the range of 2 years ago, but the other frames and polycarbonate lenses (yeah, they went all scientific on us), are a wonder to behold. I’m hoping to take these sunglasses for a test ride in the coming weeks and will give you my full review. As for now visit the Dragon website here.
