DIY Fashion - Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes

Instead of getting something off the rack (heavens forbid), or having some designer use their imagination on how you should look, there’s a third way that most opt not to take for fear of embarrassing themselves. But everyone should know by now that stars the likes of Katie Holmes don’t get embarrassed, that’s what couch jumping husbands are for. Taking that into account, Holmes decided to design her own dress for the opening of Tropic Thunder, her husband’s new movie. Katie designed the dress with her stylist Jeanne Yang.

While on the red carpet, everyone asked who designed the dress and Katie’s simple answer was that she did. She also does her own laundry, churns her own butter and has a movie career all at the same time. Does this mean that we can expect a celebritywear line from Katie soon? Apparently, Scientologists frown on fashion. (we’re kidding, really, we are…no seriously, we love Scientology, seriously).
