Fashion Week - Rubin Singer alternate view

The saying is that opinions are like assholes and everyone has them, so I am going to give my differing opinion on the Rubin Singer show. One of the top writers at Papierdoll put together a review of the Rubin Singer show earlier today. It was was somewhat ambiguously critical of the collection. She starts off by saying that it was just ok. I couldn’t disagree more. The show was better than ok. The draped black dress makes it evident that Singer understands the female form and can design something that drapes in layers and while still appreciating the contours of the body.

Maruita did hit the nail on the head with some of her assessments, specifically the striped dress with polka dots seemed completely out of place when compared to the quality of the rest of the collection. I may end up disagreeing even with myself after living with this collection for a day or two, but all in all I thought it was better than ok. What’s you’re take? Photos from the collection are here.
