It happens all the time. You look at a pair of shoes and wonder what to make of them. Are they something you would want to wear? Do they really fit your conventions of being stylish? Which leads to the questions of Giuseppe Zanotti’s Studded Buckle Boots. Many will get images of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and “Bad” era. But in all honesty these boots are in the Sid and Nancy vein.
Cintra Wilson of The New York Times has an article today on the everlasting endurance of Goth as a fashion trend and these boots seem to validate her point. Which leads back to the nagging question: will these boots be the start of a newer trend of studded boots in a variety of colors, costing upwards of $800?
