Madewell for $59.50
Madewell 1937 is a more casual brand of clothing launched by its bourgeois parent, J.Crew.  Anyone who can hazard a guess as to where the 1937 came from, I’m all ears as I’m pretty sure the brand launched during this century.

Â
When Madewell boutiques opened their doors they were offering a casual turn of luxury, focusing on denim. There was (and still is) quite an impressive array of fits and colors to choose from. Potential customers on their email listserve were offered discounts, and once monthly its SOHO boutique offered its very own cocktail hour (replete with free tailoring) hosted by a madewell designer. It seems though that the price tags in the one hundred dollar range, offering an air of exclusivity by price weren’t enough to lure customers into the shop, for Madewell has lowered its prices and now offeres its wide variety of skinny jeans for only $59.50. It isn’t uncommon for a midpriced retailer to lower prices only to raise them again once sales pick up, so don’t get too excited, but if you’re in need of a new pair of jeans, do take advantage of this price. I personally don’t own a pair, but come October am sure I will. I’ve heard great things about them.
