Behind-the-scenes video of the Loeffler Randall Fall 09 photo shoot, while focused on the fashion as always, is a really great example of the power music lends to images. Slow-moving video of a campaign photo shoot could easily be boring but the model (Rosie Tupper), the sets, and Cat Power’s cover of Wonderwall combine to make it a poignant viewing experience. The artistry of the video conveys the creative energy the photographer and everyone else on set is putting into the project, which is really what a behind-the-scenes video should do! Too bad they’re usually “see the celebrity in their natural habitat” show pieces.
All that said, I could have done with more shots of the shoes! But you can see plenty of them on Loeffler Randall’s newly launched Web site, which also features awesome music.
