Look out, Scarlett Johansson

Isaac Mizrahi
The man who grabbed her boob last year, Isaac Mizrahi is making a return to the runway after 10 years off doing TV shows, making lines for target and everything else under the sun.

My opinion? There’s a reason why his line went bankrupt in ‘98. But things have turned around 10 years later and perspective can make all the difference in the world.

The L Word

Christian Louboutin
Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what all the fuss is about when talking about designers. You hear their names and you automatically think, ok well this designer is the buzz word now. Say it with me in dramatic cadence L-O-U-B-O-U-T-I-N; over and over again.

But I am starting to understand why. The dramatic heel on the Sirene, the color, the low cut vamp all says craftsmanship and style. Before this becomes an infomercial I’ll stop. Suffice it to say I am a convert, 14 years later.

Say it isn’t so

H&M
Saw something on Flypaper today and was hoping it really wasn’t so. So I went to the H&M site just to confirm and alas it was was so. I’m fine with the coats and the dress for the upcoming Spring/Summer 07 season but it ends there H&M. What’s wrong with the picture on the right?

Chloe sans Philo

Chloe
It’s been awhile and I thought we’d take a look at Chloe since Phoebe Philo left. Sales are still amazing, press is marveling at how well the house is doing without Philo and I’m left pondering why I still miss her. I just do, ok? Ok.

Papierdoll July 2008 Interview

Interview: Thomas Voorn
Sonia Pereira Murphy

Considering the now ubiquitous trend of disposable fashion where all that seems to matter is a cute factor, Thomas Voorn's intellectual take on clothing is not only refreshing, but enlightening. Voorn's fascination with clothing calls to mind an anthropologist intrigued with skeletal remains, a sociologist... [Go]
